We decided to do something fun to tell our parents about the baby. We ended up buying 2 silver Christmas ornaments shaped like baby carriages, and had them engraved with "Jeff and Sarah are having a BABY!". I wrapped them in Christmas paper. When we got them home from the airport (they all flew together), we sat them down and gave them their "early Christmas present". Yep they were excited! The above picture is, from left, Jeff's mom Wanda, me and my mom Pam, a few minutes after opening their gifts. We have it on video too but unfortunately the file size is too big to post here, I will see what I can do.
Thanksgiving dinner was fun, we all worked together to get the meal ready, and they let me do the turkey my way, using a brine, and it was a big success! We had a great time while the turkey was cooking by playing cards and looking at the rainbow (it rained off and on all day).
We did some travelling and touring while they were here. Above is a picture of Wanda checking out a giant saguaro cactus a few miles from our house.
We walked around downtown Tucson the day before Thanksgiving before meeting Jeff at our favorite restaurant for lunch.
The day after Thanksgiving, we all took off for a trip to the Grand Canyon. Boy was it cold!!! We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time.
Mom and dad at the canyon.
Wanda and mom enjoyed collecting rocks everywhere we went.
My husband is a little crazy.
We stopped by Sedona on the way home.
My dad, the mountain climber.
My parents in our trees hanging Christmas lights!
Christmas lights!
And finally, the Christmas tree is up as well!
